After starting my studies in Florence I graduated in architecture at the Technische Universitaet Darmstadt and gained a PhD in Urban Projects and Policies at the Politecnico di Milano.

In the late nineties, I started collaborating with international design studios led by Andreas Brandt, Mario Bellini, Ivana Invernizzi, Hans Kollhoff and David Chipperfield for the design of public buildings, commercial spaces and homes. In the past twenty years, I focused on the design of corporate workplaces working with DEGW, Unispace and Albera & Monti Architetti.

Thanks to these experiences and to a qualified professional network, since 2020 Antonio Borghi Studio has been satisfying the needs of demanding corporate clients with highly customized design solutions, characterized by flexibility, efficiency and sober elegance.

In addition to my professional activity, I was invited to lecture at the Domus Academy, at the Institute of Urban Planning of the University of Stuttgart and the Polytechnic of Milan, contributing to several conferences and publications in Italy and abroad.

Elected for three terms in the Executive Council of the Milan Architects' Chamber, for about 12 years I was active in the Architects' Council of Europe ACE-CAE, based in Brussels, where I chaired the Work Group Urban Issues. Since 2004 I'm an accredited Lead Expert of the EU-funded programm Urbact (Hous-Es, Links, Building Energy Efficiency) and a member of other expert groups of the European Commission.
